City Administrator Lonnie Rainville

The City Administrator is the City's chief administrator and is responsible for overseeing the city government organization to ensure it is managed efficiently and effectively. The City Administrator serves and advises the Mayor and City Council, appoints all department directors, and prepares a proposed annual budget for Council consideration. The City Administrator also enforces municipal laws and ordinances and coordinates city operations and programs.

As City Administrator, it is my goal to bring value to the Myrtle Creek community.  I serve the City Council to develop sound approaches to community challenges by bringing together resources to make the right things happen and produce results that matter.  In 2016 the City Council adopted goals to guide the community as we move forward.  Sound goals provide the basis for forming and executing a budget as well as guide staff as they carry out the various tasks that keep the City running.

From a service delivery standpoint, it is my goal to develop and sustain organizational excellence and promote innovation. City staff focuses on efficient and equitable service delivery, policy implementation, and evaluation.  We have created an environment where City staff is effective and creative in aligning the local government’s administrative systems with the values, mission, and policy goals defined by the community and City Council.

Thank you for visiting our web site.  The Mayor, City Council and Staff are always open to friendly advice and feedback on how we are doing.  If you have any questions or comments regarding our services, please feel free to contact me or stop by City Hall.
